PA12 is a semi-crystalline-crystalline thermoplastic material. Its characteristics are similar to PA11, but the crystal structure is different. PA12 has many improved varieties in terms of plasticization characteristics and enhancement characteristics. Compared with PA6 and PA66, these materials have lower melting points and densities and have very high return rates. PA12 has no resistance to strong oxidizing acids. The viscosity of PA12 depends mainly on humidity, temperature and storage time. It's very fluid. The shrinkage rate is between 0.5 % and 2 %, which mainly depends on the material variety, wall thickness and other process conditions. PA12 has low density, low melting point, high decomposition temperature, small water absorption, good low temperature resistance, and good noise protection. Good performance. PA12 products have good dimensional stability and are easy to form. PA12 is resistant to alkali, anti-fouling agents, and oil resistance. It is capable of alcohol, inorganic enoic acid, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It is not resistant to concentrated inorganic acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons and is soluble in phenol. PA12 has a relative density of 1.02 g/cm3, which is low in nylon products; Due to the low content of its amide group, the water absorption rate is 0.25 %, which is also low in nylon. PA12 has a thermal decomposition temperature greater than 350 °C and a long-term use temperature of 80-90 °C. The PA12 membrane has good airtightness and the water vapor transmission rate is 9g/m2.
